Use the tool to create installation media (USB flash drive, DVD or ISO file) to install Windows 10 on a different PC
Follow these steps to create an installation medium (USB flash drive or DVD) that you can use to install a new copy of Windows 10, perform a clean installation or install Windows 10. Before downloading the tool, make sure you have:
- Internet connection (Internet service provider fees may apply).
- A large amount of data available on the computer, USB or external drive to download.
- A blank USB flash drive with at least 5 GB of space or a blank DVD (and a DVD burner) if you want to create media. We recommend using a blank USB or a blank DVD, as any content it contains will be deleted.
- When you burn DVDs from an ISO file, you will need to use a dual-layer DVD if you are told that the disk image file is too large.
