The following issue has been addressed in this release of VMware Workstation Player.
Virtual network devices in the VMware Workstation Player have the risk of overflowing an integer that allows the guest to execute code on the host. The Common Viability and Exposure Project (cve.mitre.org) has assigned the identifier CVE-2018-6983 for this issue. See VMSA-2018-0030 for more information.
